    Two people were injured last Tuesday evening in a two-car collision on the 2600 block of First Street in Cheney. The collision took place around 7:30 p.m. when a vehicle northbound on First Street entered the center lane to make a left turn into the Taco Bell as a second vehicle entered the city southbound. According to the police report, the driver of the first vehicle was waiting for the second vehicle to pass, but then elected to make the turn too soon and was struck by the second vehicle.     History repeated itself for one member of the Cheney High boy’s swim team at the 2A state championships Feb. 20-21, at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. Trevor Babcock once again finished seventh in the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute and 47.73 seconds, which is 4.67 seconds faster than his time at last year’s state competition.
