Cheney Outreach requests school supplies

CHENEY — In preparation for the 2021-2022 school year, the Cheney Outreach Center is requesting new and unused school supply donations to benefit local students. Items needed, as specified by the Cheney School District, are:

Backpacks

Calculators

Wide-ruled Notebook Paper

College-ruled Notebook Paper

Graph Paper

Red, Blue, and Black Pens

Protractors & Compasses

3-Ring Binders& Dividers

Composition Notebooks

3x5 Notebook Cards

USB Flash Drives

Graph Paper

Pencil Pouches

Highlighters

Erasers

Pointed Scissors

Rulers

Facial Tissuesw

Supplies or monetary donations can be dropped at Cheney Outreach, 616 3rd Street, between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday, or 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Checks should be made to the Outreach Center and the mailing address is P.O. Box 4444, Cheney, WA 99004. Due to an excess stock from previous donations, Crayons, pencils, markers, notebooks, and glue will not currently be accepted.

To receive support, residents are encouraged to sign up during the above hours, prior to August 25 to ensure ample items are available for distribution. Supplies can be distributed during the school year but will be limited.
