Spokane County holds free PPE distribution for small businesses, non-profits

SPOKANE COUNTY — Spokane County is holding free Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) distribution events to assist small businesses and non-profits continue operations to keep employees and the public safe. Spokane County utilized CARES Act funds to purchase the PPE.

These free distribution events, called “OPENTogether PPE Distribution” provide small businesses with 249 and fewer employees and non-profits of any size, with PPE supplies, including hand sanitizer, disinfecting cleaner and both disposable and cloth facial coverings.

The two event take place on Tuesday, June 22, and Wednesday, June 23, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Both events are held at the Spokane County Fairgrounds, 404 N. Havana St. in Spokane Valley.

Businesses with 249 and fewer employees and non-profits of any size must register prior to pick-up. Registration is available at https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6373067/PPEDistJune2021. 

Chair of the Spokane County Board of Commissioners, Josh Kerns stated, “Spokane County remains committed to helping support our local businesses and non-profits with the mission to being fully re-open by June 30,” Spokane County Board of Commissioners Chair Josh Kerns said in a statement. “Providing an additional supply of PPE will assist our local organizations with providing a safe environment for workers, customers, and volunteers.”
