Avista customers in Rosalia and surrounding area to experience a planned power outage

SPOKANE — Approximately Avista electric customers in Rosalia, Malden, Pine City and the surrounding area will experience a planned power outage on Thursday, June 24. The planned outage will begin at 10 p.m. and end at 6 a.m. on Friday, June 25. No road closures are expected during this outage.

During this time, Avista crews will perform maintenance to their Rosalia substation. The routine maintenance will increase reliability and reduce future outages in the area.

“The scheduled work will be performed in the evening to avoid a disruption of service during the heat of the day,” Jason Johnson, manager of electric operations in Pullman and the surrounding area, said in a news release. “Upgrading our equipment is essential to delivering safe and reliable service to our customers. We’re committed to restoring your power as quickly and safely as possible.”

Avista customer service representatives have a variety of resources and information available to aid customers in need.
