Celebrated Irish group Celtic Woman comes to Northern Quest

Global and cultural phenomenon Celtic Woman will bring the rich musical and cultural heritage of Ireland as part of their Homecoming Tour to Northern Quest Resort & Casino’s Pend Oreille Pavilion for two shows on Wednesday, May 30 and Thursday, May 31. With a debut in early 2005 on American television, Celtic Woman captured the hearts of PBS viewers across the nation performing traditional Irish music from The Helix in Dublin, Ireland. Following their successful debut concert, the group’s first CD reached No. 1 on Billboard’s World Music Chart and remained at the top for a remarkable 81 weeks. The group’s talent reaches across multiple music genres including Irish classics, contemporary songs, classical favorites and stirring originals. Celtic Woman’s latest release, “Homecoming – Live in Ireland,” is a live CD and DVD recorded in Dublin, Ireland and is the foundation of their most recent tour across North America. The group is currently led by dynamic vocalists Susan McFadden, Mairéad Carlin and Éabha McMahon, as well as the group’s newest member, gifted violinist Tara McNeill. Alongside this extraordinary group of women in concert are an ensemble of Irish dancers, bagpipers and a full band playing an array of traditional Irish instruments.
