Tyler 'Daze' is all about community

It's more than a yard sale - more than a breakfast. It's about community.

Tyler Daze, the annual celebration at the community located just off Interstate 90 on the State Route 904 exit to Cheney, is about people having common interests, enjoying fellowship and sharing a meal together.

Organizers say it's a time of catching up on the local news and making that special purchase from the many vendors - and it takes a commuity to put together.

Tyler Grange provides the facilities and some of the workers for the annual get-together Saturday, June 3.

Volunteer firefighters from Spokane County Fire District 3 Station 312 provide a pancake breakfast and lunch, as well as bringing fire trucks and equipment to thrill and inform the children and adults alike.

State Department of Natural Resources officials will be on hand to provide information on safety tips for residents regarding wildfires. A bluegrass band, made up of local musicians, will entertain the crowd.

Community residents will be bringing their saleable items, crafts and unique treasures for the crowd to browse and purchase.

Tyler Daze organizers invite area residents to leave the yardwork for another day, bring the family and join the fun Saturday, June 3 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Tyler Grange Hall in Tyler - just 16 minutes west of Cheney on SR 904.
