Medical Lake tennis sends players to regionals

Medical Lake tennis qualified three boys and a pair of girls to this weekend’s regional tennis tournament at Mead High School.

No. 1 singles standout Noah Ray finished second with a pair of early wins before falling in the district championship to Riverside and their No. 1 seed, Joel Cladera-Garcia 2-6, 0-6.

“We knew he was going to be tough, so Noah went out with the mindset he was going to work on his game and whatever happens, happens,” co-head coach Dawn Eliassen said. “He hung with him almost every point.”
