CHENEY

April 17

Second-degree theft was reported on the 700 block of Third Street. A package of checks was taken.

A 14-year-old female was arrested at Westwood Middle School in connection with a second-degree theft that took place Feb. 22.

Second-degree theft was reported at Sunset Elementary School in Airway Heights. An air quality sensor installed on the building’s roof ceased communicating with Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency’s main office. A technician dispatched to Airway Heights to determine the problem discovered the unit had been broken into and a wireless router taken.

A 14-year-old male was arrested on the 2700 block of State Route 904 as a runaway juvenile from Spokane County.

Daisy Anguiano, 21, was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) on the 2100 block of North Sixth Street.

April 19

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 300 block of Erie Street. While at the scene, officers discovered one of the individuals involved had probable cause to arrest on a stalking incident in the city of Spokane. Police assisted in arresting Keith B. Smither, 27, on the probable cause.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 100 block of Terra Vista Lane. Graffiti was found.

Possible child abuse/neglect was reported on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on the 2800 block of Oxford Lane as a runaway juvenile out of the city of Spokane.

A missing person was reported on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway. Person was located.

April 20

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 200 block of Simpson Parkway.

Police arrested Patrick R. Williams, 19, on the 600 block of Second Street on a driving under the influence (DUI) warrant issued by Spokane County District Court.

An attempted suicide was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. Voluntary commitment.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. Graffiti was found.

April 21

Malicious mischief was reported on the zero hundred block of North Seventh Street. Damage to a fence.

April 22

Shantel N. Singh, 20, was arrested for second-degree malicious mischief — damaging a car — on the 200 block of L Street.

Harassment was reported on the 100 block of College Hill.

Possible stolen property was reported on the 1100 block of Oakland Street. Thirteen metal road signs were recovered.

A possible violation of a no contact order was reported on the 3100 block of Meadow Glen. Individual drove by the prohibited residence.

A rape was reported on the 1000 block of Cedar Street.

April 23

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 700 block of Seventh Street. A car window was broken.

Possible stolen property was reported on the 700 block of Seventh Street.

Residential burglary was reported on the zero hundred block of Blackhawk Lane. A bicycle was taken.

Possible trespassing was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.

A 15-year-old male was arrested on the 2700 block of First Street for third-degree theft/shoplifting, possession of stolen property and minor in possession (MIP).

Police assisted Eastern Washington University police officers on a mental health issue at John F. Kennedy Library on campus.

April 24

A bicycle was found on the 1400 block of Second Street.

A suicidal subject was reported at East State Route 902 and North Stanley Street.

Harassment was reported on the 1000 block of North Prentis Street.

Assault was reported on the 800 block of West Maple Street.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 1000 block of North Prentis Street.

Reckless driving was reported at East Fellows and North Washington streets.

April 23

A suspicious vehicle was reported at North Stanley Street and East Route 902.
