Cheney Community Church

Cheney Community Church will host a “National Day of Prayer” observance on Thursday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. This marks the 66th annual National Observance. This year’s theme is “For Your great name’s sake.” Daniel 9:19 states: “O Lord, Listen! O Lord, Forgive! O Lord, Hear and Act! For Your Sake, O My God.” The community is invited to come join in this event. Prayer changes things.

 During Sunday service, childcare is provided as well as children’s church for ages 3 – third grade. Both teens and adults meet for Bible study at 9 a.m. on Sundays. Small groups called “Connexion” meet at various times during the week.

 The middle and high school group, “Holy Flame,” meets every Monday at 6 p.m. for dinner followed by Bible study and other activities. AWANA Club for boys and girls and teens meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. (6 p.m. for the teens).

The community is welcome to attend Sunday services at any time at 1307 Third St. Call the church office for further information at (509) 235-4841.

Congregational Church (formerly United Church of Christ)

We are a progressive, Congregational Protestant church. Watch for changes in our sign and voicemail message.

We will also have a website and active Facebook account in the near future. Nursery is available.

Our main building and bathrooms are fully accessible. Communion is the first Sunday of every month and we always have gluten-free communion bread and juice available for those who need it.

We welcome all people, without regard to their distinctions in the world, who come to be at peace with God and with their neighbors in a worshiping community of service.

We will welcome and stand with all who gather into the safety and fellowship of our church.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday.You may also watch our pastor’s sermons at our website or on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney.

The women’s Diakonia group will be holding a garage sale in the church fellowship hall this Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. All are welcome to come and shop.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable foods and personal care items are gladly accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7.

Four Lakes Community Church

We are a non-denominational Village Missions Church. We exist to exalt the Lord, to educate and edify the saints and evangelize the lost.

Our upcoming sermon series by pastor Sean Carney will be on Ephesians 1 entitled “Do You Feel Blessed?” Our worship services combine contemporary choruses and traditional hymns. 

Join us for Wednesday music practice at 6:30 p.m., Thursday AWANA at 6:30 p.m. and Friday men’s breakfast and Bible study at 7 a.m. We will be hosting a fifth Sunday Sing at 6:30 p.m. on April 30.

United Methodist Church

Please join us for worship this week at the United Methodist Church. Pastors Alissa Bertsch Johnson and Pat Sleeth will lead worship. Pastor Sleeth will be preaching the second in a new sermon series. This week’s focus will be on evangelism, “On The Go.” Preceding worship at 9:30 a.m. is a multi-age Sunday school class for elementary students.

 Sunday at 4 p.m., the UMC choir will be participating in the Inland District Choir Festival at Valley UMC. All are welcome at this joyful, musical event.
