Cheney is 'not flush with cash'

Anyone wishing for the city of Cheney to hire economic development help will have to keep on wishing.

During the comment portion of the City Council’s June 28 meeting, Mayor Tom Trulove addressed a story in the June 23 issue of the Cheney Free Press noting the city’s Planning Commission had approved sending a recommendation to the City Council that it consider either hiring internally or contracting out for economic development services. The commission’s recommendation came during its review process of the city’s comprehensive plan’s chapter on economic development.
