Cheney United

Church of Christ

You are cordially invited to join us Sunday, May 29, at 10 a.m. for services at Cheney UCC. Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will deliver the sermon and special music will be provided by soprano, Maddie Gwinn. Plan to stay after the service if you can. It is picnic Sunday. As weather dictates, we will meet outside or in the fellowship hall for a picnic lunch.

Eastern Washington University’s choir will be presenting a concert — “Love and Understanding” — in the sanctuary at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 2. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Emmanuel

Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. You may also watch our pastor’s sermons at our website emmanuelcheney.org or on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney. Christian education for grade school through adults begins at 9 a.m.

Mark your calendars for Emmanuel’s 2016 Vacation Bible School scheduled for July 11 – 15. The theme this year is “Rooted. Imagine what will grow!” from Ephesians 3:17-19. Registration forms will be available soon on our website under the “Ministries” tab. This program is for children entering the first through sixth grade this fall. St. Rose Catholic Church will host children ages 3-5.

St. Paul’s

Episcopal Church.

Holy Communion at 11 a.m. The Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside.

We are in the midst of creating a community garden at St. Paul’s consisting of flowers and vegetables in raised planter boxes at the church. Planting will begin in early to mid-June. Volunteers are welcome to help us in this endeavor.

Attention all college students, the Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry meets each Monday at 5 p.m. for dinner, study and worship. Please join us. For more information contact Soule at 844-2553.

Choir practice each Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Come sing with us. Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

United Methodist Church

Worship this Sunday morning at the United Methodist Church is at 10 a.m. The service will be led by pastor Alissa Bertsch Johnson, and associate pastor Pat Sleeth. The sermon series based on Adam Hamilton’s book, “The Call,” will continue with Sleeth bringing the morning message. Preceding worship there is a grief support group at 9 a.m. based on the book, “A Grace Disguised.”
