CHENEY

April 25

Third-degree theft was reported on the 1800 block of Third Street. A car stereo was taken.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. A wallet and laptop were taken from a vehicle.

A purple bicycle was found on the zero hundred block of West First Street.

A large amount of ammunition was brought in to the Police Department for destruction.

An abandoned automobile was reported on the 200 block of North Ninth Street.

April 26

Second-degree theft was reported on the zero hundred block of Third Street. Two vehicles were broken into and a wallet and iPad were taken.

Cheney police assisted Department of Social and Health Services on a mental health issue on the 400 block of North Sixth Street. The individual was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Cheney police assisted Child Protective Services with a placement on the 2200 block of First Street.

Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 700 block of Sixth Street. There was a broken window.

A blue bicycle was found on the 400 block of Annie Place.

April 27

Second-degree theft was reported on the 100 block of Fourth Street. Credit cards were taken from a vehicle.

Second-degree burglary was reported on the 100 block of North Ninth Street. An individual attempted to break into a coin operated laundry machine.

A 17-year-old male was arrested for minor in possession on the 700 block of North Seventh Street.

April 28

Attempted suicide was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. The individual was involuntarily committed.

Financial fraud was reported on the 100 block of G Street. Unauthorized charges to an account were discovered.

Taking motor vehicle without the owner’s permission was reported on the 800 block of West First Street. The vehicle was recovered on Simpson Parkway.

Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 400 block of North Sixth Street.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 2200 block of First Street. A set of keys was taken.

Residential burglary was reported on the 700 block of West First Street.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 300 block of G Street. A bicycle was taken.

A mental health issue was reported on the 900 block of Second Street. The individual was involuntarily committed.

Second-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 1700 block of Seventh Street.

April 29

Brian K. Svominen, 19, was arrested for second-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) on the 1500 block of Salnave Road.

Two bicycles were found on the zero hundred block of Columbia Street.

April 30

Jacob M. Hoffman, 21, was arrested for reckless driving on the 700 block of Montague Drive.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 700 block of West First Street. A backpack and contents were taken from a vehicle.

May 1

Suspicious circumstances were reported on the 800 block of West First Street.

Xavier A. Salinas, 20, was arrested for minor in possession on the 2800 block of Al Ogdon Way.

A Washington driver’s license was found and turned in to the Police Department.

Patrick R. Williams, 18, was arrested for third-degree DWLS on the 100 block of Union Street.

April 25

A threat was reported on the 1000 block of West Lake Street.

April 27

Physical abuse was reported on the 2300 block of South Salnave Road.

Physical abuse was reported on the 2300 block of South Salnave Road.

Domestic violence was reported on the 800 block of East Barker Street.

May 1

Domestic violence was reported on the 4000 block of North Silver Lake Avenue.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

April 27

An argument was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

A juvenile was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.

Vehicle theft was reported on the 12500 block of West 12th Avenue.

Chantel M. Carter, 20, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.

Lost property was recovered on the 12500 block of West 12th Avenue.

April 28

Lost property was recovered on the 12800 block of West Highway 2.

Bradley A. Glass, 38, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for burglary.

Lost property was recovered on the 1300 block of South Hayford Road.

April 29

Kenny L. Rustad, 29, was arrested on the 1500 block of South Russell Street on a felony warrant for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and for possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine, obstructing a law enforcement officer and second-degree DWLS.

A gas drive off was reported on the 1400 block of South Garfield Road.

A traffic accident with damages was reported on the 11400 block of West Highway 2.

A traffic accident with damages was reported at Hayford Road and Highway 2.

A stolen vehicle was recovered on the 1500 block of South Craig Road.

April 30

Incidents of possession of stolen property, forgery, trafficking in stolen property and identity theft were reported on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road.

Dawn M. Martinez, 51, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.

Nicole D. Roman, 24, was arrested on the 12400 block of West Frank Street on a warrant for Department of Corrections escape from community custody and for making false or misleading statements to a public servant, financial fraud and possession of another person’s identification.

A stolen vehicle was recovered on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

May 1

Renee S. Miles, 49, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.

May 2

William G. Atkinson, 47, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road on a warrant for failure to appear on a possession of a controlled substance charge.

Raquel L. Welch, 43, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road on a warrant for failure to appear possession of a controlled substance charge and for possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
