West Plain Easter Egg hunts, Saturday March 26

Area youth will have plenty to choose from when it comes to finding Easter eggs this Saturday.

The Cheney Kiwanis are holding their egg hunt at 11 a.m., sharp, at Salnave Park, with 4 – 5 age groups for toddlers through age 10. There will be gift baskets in each group for those who find the golden egg.

Medical Lake Kiwanis are holding their 35th annual egg hunt at Waterfront Park, beginning promptly at 11 a.m. There will be plenty of goodies and prizes in four age groups toddlers through age 12.

Finally, Airway Heights is holding its egg hunt at Sunset Park beginning at 9 a.m. There will be four age groups from pre-school and under through fifth-grade, with special prize eggs in each group.

And, somehow, the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at all three locations. Bring your baskets!

Feed Cheney meal, Monday, March 28

Feed Cheney will be next Monday, March 28, at the Wren Pierson Community Center, 615 Fourth St. At 5:30 p.m. a hot dinner will be served and groceries will be available for every household, all to the tune of live music.

Feed Cheney is free and is supported by Women and Children’s Free Restaurant, Second Harvest, and community volunteers. More information is available at http://www.feedcheney.com or write to feedcheney@gmail.com. Clothing bank will be open from 5 – 6:30 p.m.

Due to continued local interest in the Cheney Depot Society’s exhibit at the Cheney Library, the Society will be leaving the display in place through March 31.
