StageWest continues to attract large audiences

Officials at StageWest Community Theatre think they have a hit on their hands.

The season-opening production of "Anne of Green Gables" has proven to be a fun, family fare, attracting large audiences composed of people of all ages, StageWest's director of advertising and publicity, Nancy Kuonen, said in a news release.

The last two performances are this weekend. Friday night, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. and Saturday's dinner theatre at 6 p.m. Friday night tickets are adults $12, seniors $10 and students with valid school ID just $5.

Dinner theatre is by reservation only and reservations must be made to Kathleen Bell at (509) 235-2441 or Kay Byron Pacheco at (509) 235-5742 by Friday afternoon. Dinner theatre is catered by Mike Hartman, is $30 per person and consists of either soup or salad, game hen, rice pilaf, vegetable and hot apple pie with ice cream for dessert. All this good food and a play to boot. What a deal.

Performances are at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 639 Elm St. in Cheney. As Kuonen said one audience member told her, "We came in opening night all the way from Boise Idaho, loved it! Thanks for a great night!" Come enjoy the fun.
