Cheney gardening meeting

The Gardeners of Cheney Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 11, at the Sessions Community Center. John Taves will speak about vertical gardening.

Feed Medical Lake May 11

Feed Medical Lake is having serving taco salad, refried beans, Mexican coleslaw and churros for this month’s free meal, Monday, May 11 from 5-6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church. MLHS blood drive May 15

The Medical Lake High School Community Blood Drive Volunteers, led by Sue Anderson along with the Inland Northwest Blood Center, are holding a blood drive Friday, May 15 in the high school’s small gym. Donation hours are from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

INBC needs an average of 200 blood donors every day to meet the needs of more than 35 hospitals in the Inland Northwest. A single donation can save the lives of up to three people.

Second annual car show

Stars, Stripes, Boots and Spurs car club is holding its second annual car show and festival Sunday, May 17, at Sutton Park, Sixth and J streets from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There will be music, food from Cowboy Dawgs and Patties Tacos, swap meet, artists and door prizes. Dash plaques will be awarded in 12 categories including Works In Progress, Motorcycles and a People’s Choice.
