Plenty of goodies up for grabs at Blackhawk Auction

Takes place March 6 at CHS

When Seattle Seahawks punter Jon Ryan found tackle Gary Gilliam in the end zone for a touchdown pass on a fake field goal attempt in the NFC championship game against Green Bay, he made history. The Canadian-native became the first punter to throw a touchdown pass in NFL post-season play.

Now, people in Cheney have an opportunity to win a football autographed by Ryan while at the same time supporting Cheney High School athletics. The Ryan football is just one of many items to be auctioned at the second annual Blackhawk Athletic Dessert and Silent Auction, taking place from 6 – 8 p.m., March 6 at the high school.

Also up for sale to the highest bidder are replica championship rings from the Seahawks 2013 Super Bowl, the 2009 New York Yankees World Series along with Spokane Indians baseball tickets and much more, including some delicious desserts. Auction tickets are just $2, and can be purchased at the high school main office or business office.

Also at the auction will be information on 2015 Blackhawk summer sports camps, booster club information, 2015 athletic forms, plus a chance to meet and talk with Cheney High coaches. Last year's auctioned raised over $2,200 for Blackhawk athletics.
