StageWest production promises to have you 'Exit Laughing'

StageWest Community Theatre’s proudly presents “Exit Laughing” by Paul Elliott. Produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Co. “Exit Laughing” premiered in the American Association of Community Theatre’s AACT NewPlayFest by the Springfield Little Theatre in Springfield Mo.

When the biggest highlight in your life for the past 30 years has been your weekly bridge night out with the “girls,” what do you do when one of your foursome inconveniently dies? If you’re Connie, Leona and Millie, three Southern ladies from Birmingham, Ala., you “borrow” the ashes from the funeral home for one last card game, and the wildest, most exciting night of your lives involves a police raid, a stripper and a whole new way of looking at all the fun you can have when you are truly living. “Exit Laughing” has adult themes and is not appropriate for younger children.

This play will have you rolling in the aisle and holding your stomach from laughing. Our performances will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church located at 639 Elm St. in beautiful Cheney. Dates and times for “Exit Laughing are Fridays Feb. 27, March 6 and March 13 at 7 p.m.; Saturday Feb. 28 and March 7, also at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees March 1 and March 8 at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 adults, $10 seniors (over 60) and $5 students with valid school ID card.

Dinner theatre performance is Saturday, March 14, at 6 p.m., with dinner catered by Willow Springs Restaurant. Dinner theatre tickets are $25 per person, and reservations must be made by March 13.
