Vote 'yes' for Cheney bond and levy

Letters to the Editor

As a parent of three Cheney School District students as well as employee of the Cheney School District, I am encouraged by the everyday opportunities made available to both students and employees of our school district. My own children continue to grow and learn through the extra time and effort put forth by many school district employees. If our students are to experience the same level of educational opportunities, we need to pass the upcoming Educational Programs and Operations (Maintenance and Operations) Levy and the Cheney High School bond.

As student population continues to grow, Cheney High School deals with limited building, classroom and parking space. The eight portables currently being used in the parking lot is not a long-term fix. Our students deserve to have schools and opportunities that meet their educational and physical needs.

With the Educational Programs (M & O) and Operations Levy coming up Feb. 10, please take time to consider the facts and vote in favor of supporting Cheney Public Schools. By passing this levy, we can be assured that Cheney School District will continue to offer the best it can for our kids and for our community.
