Emmanuel Lutheran Church

All are welcome this Sunday, Nov. 9, to worship with us at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. Christian education begins at 9 a.m. Fellowship follows the worship service. The annual church bazaar and luncheon will be held this Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Lunch hours are 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Mark your calendars for our ecumenical Thanksgiving worship service on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. Please bring non-perishable food items for the food basket.

United Church of Christ

Come one, come all on Saturday to the biggest bazaar day in town. The United Church of Christ is the only place where you can buy raffle tickets for the intricate all-kinds-of-pink quilt by Pam Mostek. Also enjoy the baked goods, jams, craft items, and especially the soup luncheon.

If you miss the bazaar, a sprinkling of items will remain on sale immediately after the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service. Sunday school and nursery care will carry on during the service as usual.

United Methodist Church

Saturday is a “Bazaar Day” in Cheney when the United Methodist and three other churches have their annual fall bazaars. Shop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at UMC for handcrafted items, baked goods, jams and jellies, beautiful raffle items and much more.

Please join us for worship Sunday morning. Church lay leader Carol Kriegh will be speaking and leading the service.

Sunday evening the adult fellowship will meet at the home of Ken and Edith Dickson for an early Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey and potatoes will be provided for the 6 p.m. gathering. Just bring a side dish to share and a thankful heart.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Holy Communion at 11 a.m. The Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside.

Our annual holiday bazaar will take place on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Offered will be crafts, baked goods, hand crafts and gently used collectibles. There will also be a raffle for a Christmas block quilt. Special guest, Rita Seedorf, will be present to autograph her newly released book, “Letters From Brackham Wood.”

Attention college students, each Monday evening at 5 p.m. you are invited to join us for dinner, study and devotions.

Narcotics Anonymous meets Tuesday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the parish hall. Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the parish hall. Come and bring a friend.
