SR 904 resurfacing to cause delays

Cheney residents traveling State Route 904 should expect delays and slower than usual traffic as resurfacing work on the four-mile stretch between Betz Road and Interstate 90 kicks off Monday, June 16.

The $872,473 project was awarded to Inland Asphalt Company of Spokane. The project will consist of grinding down the pavement and then resurfacing with a hot asphalt mix.

Calls and emails to the Washington State Department of Transportation seeking additional project information were not returned at press time.
