United Church of Christ

All are invited to Sunday services at Cheney UCC, beginning at 10 a.m. Nursery care for infants and toddlers is provided from 9:45 – 11:15. Children from ages 3 – 13 are encouraged to attend Sunday school classes during the worship services.

Upcoming church-sponsored events include a family bowling activity on Sunday, March 30, from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. at Cheney Lanes. The only costs to families are shoe rental and food/ drinks. Come one, come all. You don’t even have to bring a family, just a desire to have some fun.

Two fundraising efforts are in progress at this time. The first is the project sponsored by Children’s Ministries to collect funds for “Kids in Need of Desks” in Malawi, Africa. This fund also pays tuition for girls in Malawi to complete their education.

The second fundraising project is one that will pay for the sidewalk and landscaping needs on the west side of the church. See Grant Smith for details on that project.

Near the end of every month, the Cheney UCC congregation contributes to two special service projects. Volunteers from the Women’s Fellowship deliver lunch on the fourth Thursday of the month to Crosswalk in Spokane, a program that serves homeless teens in various ways. On the last Monday of the month, UCC volunteers join with others in the community to fight hunger on a local level and make “Feed Cheney” a success.
