4Hers raising funds at Del's through April 25

Regional 4H club members will be at the Cheney Del's Farm Supply this Saturday, April 16 hosting free youth activities between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Del's chain of stores is sponsoring the Paper Clover Campaign, and local residents can purchase paper clovers for $1 at Del's, 2222 First St. in Cheney, starting Friday through April 25.

Spokane County 4H coordinator Summer Goetz said 60 percent of proceeds from the paper clover sales go to local programs, specifically to teen programs and trips.

4H teens from throughout the county will be at Del's Saturday, where they will offer kids free spring-themed activities including egg dying, animal demonstrations and an egg hunt through the store.

“This is basically aiming to draw people into the store and increase awareness about 4H,” Goetz said.

Local 4H clubs offer a variety of activities to youth of all ages, from training and showing animals to robotics, filmmaking and photography.

“There's a plethora of different things they can do,” she said.
