Therapeutic horse riding allows Cheney High School students to overcome challenges and develop confidence

It was a chilly, rainy morning Thursday, April 29, so three teenagers had to stay inside the horse arena, sitting tall on the backs of their horses, issuing commands to the animals.

“Back,” Lindsey Overlie said while leaning back and pulling on the reins. Her horse walked in reverse.

“Walk on,” she said, and the horse continued forward.
