Medical Lake baseball hopes to carry good start into strong finish

Cards thin line-up to be stretched to the max as players all fill utility roles

For the first time in years, Medical Lake’s baseball team is able to actually play on their home turf. No gym, no parking lots, no road trips to find a dry field.

And whether that’s been the reason the Cards have clicked off a pair of victories to start the season is unknown. Bottom line is that coach TJ Smith is liking how things are going and he just hopes it can continue when the Cards face Deer Park Saturday in a 1 p.m. Great Northern League doubleheader on that home field.
