Domonique Brown finished second in the 100-meters, third in the 200, and was the first leg of the 4x100 that finished second at the Ezra Gordon Invitational in Colville last Thursday in Colville and helped Medical Lake to a fourth place finish on the boy’s portion of the invitational. The meet drew 19 boys’ teams. Colville (118.5 points) won the meet while the Cardinals earned 51.5 points.

Emily Pake threw the shot 35 feet, a personal record, and finished second by 1 ½ inches on the girl’s side. Pake also was also runner-up in the discus throwing 105 feet, 4 inches. Pake pegged the javelin 103-4 to win the event.

“Both of these athletes performed tremendously in less-than-favorable weather conditions and we are extremely proud of them,” coach Phil Averill said.
