Spokane County Library District (SCLD) has a new way to enjoy all those books you're hoping to read but don't always have time.
Those who hold library cards to an area library – including branches in Cheney, Medical Lake and Airway Heights – can log onto www.scld.org and, under Reader's Corner, install free software that will allow users to “check out” and download audiobooks to their computers.
The information can then be transferred to a portable MP3 player or even burned to a CD.
