Win over MSU latest example of Eastern's tennis resurgence

It didn't take long for the Eastern Washington men's tennis team to shake off the winter rust as the Eagles knocked off three-time defending Big Sky Conference champion Montana State last Saturday, 5-2 in match play.

“What a great feeling for the guys,” Eagles head coach Patrick Dreves said. “That pretty much guarantees ourselves a spot in the Big Sky Tournament.”

The victory snapped a 27-match losing streak against the Bobcats that dated back to 1979, and improved Eastern's current record to 4-3 overall, 2-1 in the conference.
