A hoarse head coach Josh Edmondson, his voice cracking from yelling encouragement, reported on some impressive performances. Keoni Paikuli at 195 pounds “Wrestled better than I’ve seen him all year,” Edmondson...

    John McCallum, Editor|Updated Jan 28, 2016

The Cheney High School’s boys basketball team is still looking for that four quarters of consistent play, something head coach Gregg Smith believes they need to do and soon if they hope to make any noise in the Great Northern League regular season standings. The Blackhawks losing streak extended to eight games with three losses last week. All followed the same pattern as Cheney fell behind early and tried to mount late-game rallies. The biggest of these was Tuesday night at West Valley (4-4, 10-6). The Eagles took a 17-7 f...
